1. Service requests An application may be submitted in person, by post or by electronic means (by sending an e-mail signed with a secure electronic signature (eParaksta) to an institution or by using an e-address of the State Police. By requiring onsite services, to present a personal identification document (Passport or ID card). The application shall be accompanied by: 1. one photograph (3 x 4 cm), not older than three months; 2. a copy of the educational document (diploma) attesting the acquisition of higher education in law sciences (if a natural person has not taken office in one of the law enforcement authorities); 3. an opinion of a psychiatrist and a narcologist on the state of health. The detective's certificate is valid for 5 years. A natural person who wishes to extend the period of validity of the certificate shall submit a submission to the State Police Licensing Commission 30 days before the end of the period of validity of the certificate.
