The service provides the possibility to cancel the declared place of residence for persons who do not have reason to be owned by the person. A local government shall cancel information regarding the declared place of residence if: 1) the person has provided false information when declaring his or her place of residence; 2) the person has no legal basis for living in the declared place of residence. The local government shall examine the information provided according to the documents at its disposal: according to information systems data (in the population Register and the State address Register), inviting a person to submit a document confirming the veracity of the declared information (for example, the existence of a rental contract or agreement with the owner of the immovable property, or the existence of a legal basis to reside in the declared place of residence) and\/or requesting information from the owner of the immovable property. If, when examining the information regarding the declared place of residence, the local government determines that at the time of submitting the application for declaration of residence the person did not have the legal basis indicated in the application to reside in the declared place of residence, the information regarding the declared place of residence shall be cancelled with the date of submission of the declaration. If a local government determines that the right to reside in the declared place of residence has been lost to a person, the information regarding the declared place of residence shall be cancelled with the date of taking of the decision. After cancellation of the information regarding the declared place of residence of the person, the local government shall update the referred to information in the population Register and notify the person thereof.
