Payment of the State fee shall be made for receipt of information from the Register of natural persons, if relief or exemption from payment of the State fee is not applicable to the person. Payment of the State fee shall be performed prior to receipt of the information.
Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 485 of 06.07.2021, Regulations regarding the State fee for receipt of information from the Register of natural persons, prescribes, the amount of the State fee for receipt of information from the Register of natural persons, the procedures for payment of the fee, reliefs and exemptions, as well as cases in which the State fee is not reimbursed.
Reliefs and exemptions
1) the amount of the State fee shall be reduced by 50 per cent information, except the full print of personal data, shall be requested:
- the politically repressed person;
- a Member of the national resistance movement;
- a person who has three or more children (including children placed in a foster family and under the guardianship thereof), who is under 18 years of age, or children under 24 years of age who acquire general, vocational or higher education;
- guardian or trustee regarding the person under guardianship or trusteeship.
2) the following persons are exempted from payment of the State fee, except for receipt of a full printout of personal data:
- a person with a disability;
- participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;
- a person who has reached the age specified for granting an old-age pension in the Republic of Latvia;
- a person to whom an old-age pension has been granted in the Republic of Latvia;
- a Member of a family in need or a person in need living separately.
