1. Service requests
1.1 The necessary documents shall be submitted to the State Police:
• For permanent (!) professional activity - the application and the documents appended thereto (Annex 1 to Regulation No. 827 of 20 December 2016, procedures for recognition of Professional qualifications for Permanent Professional activity in the Republic of Latvia, and the documents specified in Sub-paragraphs 3.2 to 3.5 of these Regulations, appending translations into the official language, see https:\/\/lawi.lv\/ta\/id\/287586);
• For the commencement and provision of temporary (!) professional services - a declaration and the documents appended thereto (Annex 2 to Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 47 of 21 January 2021, procedures for the provision of temporary Professional services in a profession regulated in the Republic of Latvia, and the documents specified in Sub-paragraphs 3.2 to 3.7 of these Regulations applicable to the profession, appending translations into the official language, see https:\/\/\/lawi.lv\/ta\/id\/320470);
1.2. May submit a submission:
• in person, upon presentation of a personal identification document (passport or ID card) address: State Police Chief order Police Administration Licensing and permit system Bureau - Riga, Ezermalas Street 10B, 4 th floor, E-mail: pasts@vp.gov. LV;

2. Receipt of services
2.1. For permanent (!) professional activity - the State Police shall evaluate the application of the applicant and the documents appended thereto for obtaining a certificate of recognition of professional qualification, compare the content of the professional qualification obtained abroad with the requirements specified in Latvia in the relevant profession, and take a decision in conformity with the decision regarding recognition of professional qualification, partial recognition with additional requirements or non-recognition. The decision shall be taken within 4 months:
• If the acquired certificate or licence conforms to the requirements specified in Latvia for work in the relevant profession, the State Police shall issue a decision that the professional qualification has been recognised and the applicant receives a certificate of recognition of professional qualification, while informing the applicant regarding the time and place of issue of the professional qualification certificate;
• If the certificate or licence obtained by the applicant does not conform to the requirements specified in Latvia for work in the relevant profession, the State Police shall provide information and advise the applicant regarding the possibilities to acquire such education in Latvia that will give the right to work in the relevant profession.
2.2. Temporary (! ) for the commencement and provision of professional services - the State Police shall examine the submitted declaration and attached documents and inform the applicant that:
• the declaration is completed correctly and accompanied by all necessary documents;
• the declaration has not been completed in accordance with the requirements referred to in the Regulations or all the specified documents have not been submitted and regarding rectification of the detected deficiencies (upon receipt of an updated or supplemented declaration from the applicant and a set of documents appended thereto, the State Police shall perform a repeated inspection)
