The legal person shall append the following documents to the submission accordingly:
- a copy of the document identifying the person responsible;
- a copy of the lease agreement of the weapons storage facility or weapons collection storage facility and exhibition room (if the relevant premises are not the property or joint property of a legal person);
- a copy of the document certifying that the weapons collection storage facility is equipped with a fire detection and alarm system and the weapons storage facility or weapons collection storage facility and exhibition room is equipped with a security alarm system, and the referred to systems are connected to the central security control panel of the security merchant;
- a copy of the agreement entered into with the security merchant regarding the guarding of the weapons storage facility or weapons collection storage facility and exhibition room;
- a copy of the document in which the procedures for the accounting, storage, issuance and acceptance of firearms, high energy pneumatic weapons and ammunition of a legal person or the procedures by which the legal person ensures the accounting, storage and display of weapons to be collectable and the essential components thereof are determined;
- a copy of the document (syllabus) certifying that the relevant educational institution is conducting classes in shooting in winded sports, youth guards or military training programmes (hereinafter - educational institution);
- a list of natural persons of the legal person to whom weapons and ammunition will be available in accordance with the activities of the legal person. Receipt of a permit for the acquisition, possession or collection of a weapon (Sub-chapter 3.1 of Cabinet Regulation No. 211)
In order to receive a permit for the acquisition of a weapon, a permit for the possession of a weapon or a permit for the collection of weapons, a legal person shall:
1. a weapons storage facility or weapons collection storage facility and exhibition room, as appropriate, shall be installed;
2. ensure that the participants of a legal person (hereinafter - participants), officials or managers of the administration (representation) of a commercial company (hereinafter - managers), as well as natural persons to whom weapons and ammunition are available in accordance with the activities of a legal person, have undergone a health examination in a medical treatment institution to be performed for persons who work with weapons;
3. appoint a natural person responsible for the acquisition, storage, accounting and issuance of weapons (hereinafter - responsible person);
4. ensure that natural persons who, in accordance with the activities of a legal person, have access to weapons and ammunition (except persons who perform their professional activities with salute guns (acoustic weapons)) take an arms examination;
5. submit a relevant submission (Annex 14 to Cabinet Regulation No. 211) to the State Police department according to the location of the weapons depository. The given name, surname and personal identity number of natural persons or the date of birth of the person shall be indicated in the list, if the personal identity number has not been assigned, as well as, if necessary, the shooting instructor or coach shall also be indicated;
- a copy of the responsible person's certificate regarding the completion of the first aid basic knowledge training course in the amount of at least 12 hours with a three-hour knowledge test or a copy of the medical education document, or a copy of the diploma and certificate of success of the educational institution certifying that the referred to person has completed an appropriate training course in such educational institution (This Sub-paragraph shall not apply to natural persons who have a valid authorisation for the acquisition of a weapon, a permit for the possession of a weapon or a permit for the carrying of a weapon).
If copies of the referred to documents have not been certified in conformity with the requirements of regulatory enactments, the person shall present the original of the relevant document.
In order to acquire the next firearm, its interchangeable essential component or high energy pneumatic weapon, a legal person shall submit a relevant submission to the State Police organisational unit in which the weapons of the legal person are registered. The submission shall specify:
- the name and unified registration number of the legal person;
- contact information - address, telephone number, electronic mail address (if any);
- the category and use of the weapon to be purchased. If the firearm has interchangeable essential components in the kit, the quantity and calibre thereof shall be indicated;
- the reason for the acquisition of a firearm or high energy pneumatic weapon;
- the following information, if it is intended to acquire a firearm, its interchangeable essential component or a high energy pneumatic weapon outside Latvia:
- the country in which the weapon is intended to be purchased;
- information about the person selling the weapon.
The application shall be submitted to one of the regional units of the State Police:

Issuance of a permit for the sale of Weapons to legal persons (Chapter 4 of Cabinet Regulation No. 211)
In order to receive a permit for the sale of a firearm registered in Latvia, the essential component to be exchanged, a high energy pneumatic weapon, as well as cartridges of the relevant firearm, a legal person shall submit a relevant submission to the State Police organisational unit which has issued a permit for the possession of the weapon or a permit for the collection of weapons.
The submission shall specify:
- the name and unified registration number of the legal person;
- the given name, surname and personal identity number of the responsible person;
- contact information - address, telephone number, as well as electronic mail address (if any);
- weapon category, mode of operation, manufacturer's name (manufacturer's brand), model, series and number, as well as calibre. If the firearm in the kit has the essential components to be exchanged, the quantity thereof, the name of the manufacturer (manufacturer's brand), the series and number, as well as the calibre, shall be indicated. Indicate the type, calibre and quantity of munitions to be disposed of;
- the name of the weapons merchant to whom it is intended to transfer weapons and ammunition for sale, or the given name, surname and personal identity number or date of birth of such person, if the personal identity number has not been assigned, or the name and address of the legal person to whom it is intended to re-register the firearm, its interchangeable essential component or high energy pneumatic weapon (indicate if the owner of the weapon knows to which trading company the weapons and ammunition will be transferred or to which person they will be re-registered).
Upon receipt of a permit for the sale of a weapon, the head of a legal person or a representative thereof shall:
- present a personal identification document, as well as, if necessary, present a power of attorney or other document certifying the right of the representative to represent the person concerned and receive the documents intended for him or her;
- transfer a permit for the possession of the firearm to be sold, the essential components to be exchanged or a high energy pneumatic weapon or a permit for the collection of weapons;
- signs for permission.
The application shall be submitted to one of the regional units of the State Police:
