The person must submit an application and complete the corresponding application form for the Nature Protection Board, as well as make payment of the State fee.
In the case of imports, the third country CITES (re) export authorisation should be submitted in addition.
In the case of CITES certificates and movements of specimens, documents attesting to the legal procurement of specimens. When submitting documents electronically, they must be signed with an e-signature.

Purpose of payment: State fee for CITES authorisation
• amount: €11,38 (use of a specimen for commercial purposes – code T)
• amount: €8,54 (use of a specimen for circus and travelling exhibitions – code Q)
• amount: €4.27 (use of a specimen for other purposes — codes B, E, G, M, N and S)
Relief of 100% for the issuance of a CITES authorisation or CITES certificate shall be applied to:
- where the use of the specimen is intended for personal use (code - P);
- hunting trophies (code - H);
- coercive measures (code - L);
- a zoo (code - Z) or;
- if the applicant for the CITES authorisation or CITES certificate is a direct administration authority.
2. Receipt of services
The Nature Protection Board shall evaluate the application pursuant to the Law On the 1973 Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Plants and the Council Regulation (EC) 338/97 of 9 December 1996 on the Protection of Species of Wild Fauna and Flora by regulating trade therein and issue the relevant CITES permit or CITES certificate or decide on CITES refusal of a permit or CITES certificate.
