1. Application submission In order to receive a statement from the Academic Information Centre, the owner of the educational document shall submit an application and the following documents to the Academic Information Centre: a copy of the identity document; a copy of the educational document (the original shall be presented, if application is submitted in person); a copy of the document certifying payment (EUR 48,38). A statement from the Academic Information Centre may also be requested, for example, by the institution of higher education in which the person intends to continue his or her studies or by the employer. In such a case, the owner of the educational document does not have to turn himself to the Academic Information Centre with an application. 2. Confirmation of receipt of application Once the application and all required documents have been submitted, the applicant will receive a confirmation of receipt from the Academic Information Center to their email address. 3. Receipt of a statement When a statement from the Academic Information Centre has been received, the person may submit it to the institution concerned, such as the employer or institution of higher education. In the case where another person has applied to the Academic Information Centre, the certified statement shall be received by the person concerned, such as the institution of higher education or employer. 4. Decision making On the basis of a statement of the Academic Information Centre, a decision regarding the recognition of an educational document shall be taken by the institution of higher education, the employer or the Ministry of Education and Science (if the statement is requested for continuing training in the basic or secondary education level).
